Force India F1

Force India F1, a team that is based in Silverstone UK, was formed in 2007 by a consortium of business people bought the Spyker F1 team. The team won their first points with driver Giancarlo Fisichella who finished in second place in the Belgian Grand Prix in 2009. In 2011 the Indian company, Sahara India Pariwar bought 42.5% shares in the team and Sahara Force India was born, they enjoyed a number of third places achieved by Sergio Perez between 2014 and 2018.

In 2018 Force India announced it was going into administration and shortly after the teams assets were purchased by another consortium of business people under the name of Racing Point UK. So the name Racing Point Force India was born. 2018 was the only season for Racing Point Force India. In 2019 Sport Pesa Racing Point F1 was born and runs the now familiar Pink Breast Cancer Care colours and their drivers are Sergio Perez #11 and Lance Stroll #18.
