Our Commitment to Authenticity
At Pit-Lane Motorsport, we take authenticity seriously. We specialise in genuine motorsport memorabilia and aim to describe and represent every item as accurately and transparently as possible.
All items sold are sourced from trusted suppliers, teams, drivers, events, private collectors, or official channels wherever possible.
Signed Items
Where an item is described as signed or autographed, it has been signed by the individual stated to the best of our knowledge and belief.
Signed items may include:
- Driver or team autographs
- Team-issued or event-signed memorabilia
- Items signed in private or public signing sessions
Due to the nature of live signings, minor variations in signature placement, ink flow, or appearance are normal and form part of the item’s character.
Certificates of Authenticity (COA)
Where a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or authentication details are provided, these relate only to the item described and form part of the product listing.
Authentication may be based on:
- Direct sourcing
- Witnessed signings
- Supplier documentation
- Event provenance
- Professional third-party authentication (where stated)
No guarantees are made beyond the specific authentication information included with the item at the time of sale.
Race-Used & Collectable Items
Items described as race-used, event-used, or team-used are sold as collectible artefacts. Such items may show signs of wear, marks, repairs, or modifications consistent with use in motorsport.
These characteristics are considered part of the item’s history and authenticity and do not constitute defects.
Where possible, supporting information (such as event, season, or team association) will be included in the product description.
Limited-Edition & One-of-One Items
Limited-edition, numbered, or one-of-one items are produced or sourced in restricted quantities. Edition numbers, where stated, are accurate at the time of listing.
Availability, numbering style, or presentation may vary slightly between items and does not affect authenticity.
Variations & Natural Imperfections
Due to age, use, signing processes, storage, or display, memorabilia may show minor imperfections. These are inherent to collectible items and are not considered faults.
Customers are encouraged to review all product images and descriptions carefully before purchasing.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If an item is found to be not as described, you are entitled to a remedy in accordance with UK consumer law. Claims relating to authenticity must be raised within 30 days of delivery by contacting contact@pit-lane.co.uk.
