Product Disclaimers & Collectables Notice

This Product Disclaimers & Collectables Notice applies to all items sold by Pit Lane via www.pit-lane.co.uk and forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Nature of Goods Sold

Pit Lane specialises in motorsport-related memorabilia and collectables, including but not limited to:

  • Signed or autographed items
  • Team-issued or race-related items
  • Vintage, pre-owned, or limited-edition goods
  • Display items and collectables

Such items are sold primarily for collecting, display, or historical interest and not as new consumer goods unless expressly stated.

2. Condition of Items

Unless explicitly described as new:

  • Items may show signs of age, handling, storage, or prior use
  • Minor imperfections consistent with age or intended use do not constitute faults

Condition descriptions are based on reasonable visual inspection and are subjective.
Product photographs form an integral part of the item description and should be reviewed carefully prior to purchase.

3. Authenticity and Descriptions

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product listing:

  • Items are not supplied with independent or third-party authentication

  • Signature style, placement, size, and clarity may vary naturally

No representation is made that autographs were signed in the presence of Pit Lane unless expressly stated.

5. Race-Used, Team-Issued, or Event-Related Items

Where items are described as race-used, team-issued, or event-related:

  • Such descriptions reflect our reasonable belief and available provenance
  • Supporting documentation may not always be available
  • These statements do not constitute a warranty of use in a specific race, session, or event unless explicitly stated

6. Provenance and History

Any reference to prior ownership, history, or provenance is provided:

  • To the best of our knowledge
  • Based on information reasonably available at the time of sale

Unless expressly stated, provenance information does not constitute a legally binding guarantee.

7. No Investment or Valuation Advice

All items are sold as collectables only.

Pit Lane makes no representations or guarantees regarding:

  • Future value
  • Appreciation or resale value

Any references to rarity, desirability, or collectability are statements of opinion only.

8. Buyer Responsibility

By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

  • You accept that opinions on authenticity or condition may differ between collectors

Customers are encouraged to request additional information before purchase if required.

9. Returns and Consumer Rights

Nothing in this notice limits or excludes your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including rights relating to:

  • Items that are materially not as described

For signed, autographed, or collectable items:

  • Returns based solely on a change of opinion regarding authenticity, where no guarantee was stated, do not constitute “not as described”
  • Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied
